The leper, allegedly the epitome of raw damage, needs +40% damage, +15 acc, + 5-7 spd, and some form of prot-stripping support, if he wants to even think about (reliably) competing with a JES built for raw damage. If something goes wrong - you get stunned or miss - harvest will start doing 26 damage per swing, minimum. Although it's usually better to focus fire, harvest does minimum 18 damage. Sure, you may argue HEL or FLG, but JES can use them from (and on) row 3. Or have the JES's own bleeds annihilate the corpse. in VES-PD-JES-MAA you can use finale so JES can reach row 4, but you can also just kill row 3 and then use disorienting blast. Thus the way to use a jester is not to use finale, or to use it for fun and not because it's any good. It's not actively bad, but you can always get away with just.not. However, in these parties you don't need to use finale. You can use finale in certain parties without it being worse than having an empty ability slot. Saves you approximately one attack.except you have to get the jester into row 2 somehow. On a boss, slice off does 20 damage minimum, and a fully charged finale does 33 damage minimum.

With a damage spread of 100%-280%, the correct way to use finale is to plan on 2/3 of the damage being wasted. The greater problem with finale is that by the time there's only one target left, the fight is already over.*Įxception: boss fights can last a full eight rounds without being over, and then finale can be not-terrible. He is still strong it's all about using him right and knowing when to buff and when to go for the big damage output. Point in jester is to buff your squad (mainly) IF things go dire or you really need to land some good damage then after a few buffs you throw in a solo and then you pop his crazy strong buffed finale. What is his secret? Is he luck/RNG dependent in a sense that I should go only for critical strike damage on his Finale?ĭude, he like critted for 90 a drowned crew and saved my ass. Jester to me seems all about that one strike, but even during a boss fight, I spend most of the time preparing his strike only for it to deal pathetic 30 damage! That is extremely bad. His only quirk is his Finale and even when you spend several turns pumping it up, it barely any better than some basic attacks from melee classes like Hellion or Abomination. Now I just can't see the point of Jester. Then I stopped playing and started doing so again.

Then I encountered Jester and I thought that his finale was extremely strong. Originally posted by Nightbringer:I remember playing this game WAY back.
